Brief Bio
B. Glenn Copeland is a songwriter, actor and
children's storyteller with over thirty years experience working throughout
Canada and the U.S. Born in Philadelphia, Glenn studied classical music at
McGill University, before going on to establish a solo career in Montreal
and Toronto. During that same period, he began to write music for 'Mr. Dress-up',
and eventually stepped in out front of the camera to become a regular performer
on the show. His career children's television spans twenty-five year and
includes performing and writing music for shows like; 'Shining Times Station'-
PBS, 'Sesame Street' and 'Treehouse T.V.'
Glenn's has written film scores for the 'National
Film Board' and wrote the signature song for the movie 'Montreal Main'. He
has a worldwide fan base for his adult music that effortlessly weaves together
threads from different musical genres. He is the Director of Songcycles Productions
and has released six albums over the course of his career.

Glenn has a passion for working with children. As part of the Energy Kids
Project, he created and co-produced a video program in partnership with ParticipACTION,
CBC and the Toronto Board of Education to promote healthy living choices
for children and young adults. He is the founder/director of Kidplayhouse
Productions, an expressive arts organization for children and youth. He is
a much sought after arts educator and performer, bringing his multi-media
shows to schools, libraries and community centres. He has just completed
a 33 school tour of his children's musical, 'Into the Circle – from
bullying to belonging', for which he received a grant from the Ontario Arts
Council. He is also a recipient of a Canada Council Award for composition
and sat on the board of the Toronto Arts Council.
Glenn lives in New Brunswick with his writer wife and two cats. He has participated
in the raising of five other humans as well as a dozen cats and dogs; has
been a practicing Buddhist for 36 years, has five computers that all have
names, loves visual art, has good friends from twenty-five to eighty years
of age, loves to laugh, prefers to swim in salt water and has appreciated
every day of his life, though some of them only in retrospect.
