Montreal Main song was written in 1973 for a movie of the same name, Montreal Main by Frank Vitale. The movie became an underground classic. It was recorded again in 1981 along with three other songs, all produced by Doug Riley for my own label, Atlast!.
Onward and Upward was written a few years later. It became a favourite of the late Peter Gwoski, CBC's host of Morningside.
